XISS-Embark is the result of the hard work and dedication by the students of XISS Ranchi. An intra-departmental and inter-college competition platform it was started by Mr. Priyo Ranjan (PGDM-Finance) and Ms. Nivedita Singh (PGD-HRM) of the Batch 2013-15. Currently it is managed by the students of the Batch 2014-16. The managing committee consist of Ms. Vishakha Choudhary (PGDM-Finance), Mr. Jasdeep Singh Wasu (PGDM-Finance). Mr. Deepak Kumar (PGD-HRM), Mr. Jijo Abraham (PGD-HRM), Ms. Swati Singh (PGDM-Marketing), Mr. Shivam Bhardwaj (PGDM-Marketing), Mr. Roderick Foster John (PGDM-RM), Ms. Malavika Rao (PGDM-RM) and Ms. Mayuri Thakur (PGDM-IT)
Events launched by XISS-Embark in 2015 are as follows:
A Poster making Competition on "Surrogate Advertisement" of an expensive Premium Vodka Bottle where the participants were required to create a Brand name, Logo / Original product picture, Surrogate product and Tagline. It was judged by Ms. Rupa Gulab, a columnist and a novelist.
The winners of the competition are: Team Phoenix, IMT Nagpur (1st), Team MarkAddicts, DMS- IIT Delhi (2nd), Team Stallion Lights, XIME Kochi (3rd) Team Praarambh, IFMR (4th) and Team High Definition, XISS, Ranchi (5th). An article writing competition on core financial topics like Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Shadow Banking, Tax Terrorism, Smart Cities, Impact of Falling Crude Oil prices etc. It was judged by Mr. Ravi Srinivasan, Senior Associate Editor, The Hindu Business Line.An article writing competition which included challenging topics which required creativity and brings out the marketer in you. Some of the topics of the competition were Branding strategies of Hockey in India, Digital India, Make in India, Marketing marijuana etc.
An article writing competition which brings out the People’s Champion in you. Topics included Land acquisition Bill and Green India, CSR inclusion or exclusion, Key Talent Mapping etc.
