Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, was awarded the Outstanding Leadership in the Individual Category Awards in the Collegedunia Connect 3.0 summit at the Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi in November. The event organised on the theme, “Innovation in Education: A Key to Transforming India,” was a dynamic platform for several insightful discussions on the measures to be taken for shaping the future of education.

Dr Kujur, a panelist during the discussion on “Universal Access to Education: Leaving No One Behind” stated, knowledge knows no boundaries and in our pursuit of excellence, we must commit to leave no one behind. We all should aim that every individual regardless of their background or circumstance are presented with equal opportunity to unlock their full potential. Education is a transformative power and together using it for all we cannot just enrich lives but contribute to the collective progress of humanity.

The summit was attended by luminaries such as Mr Akhilesh Gupta, Senior Advisor & Secretary, Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India; Mr Ashok Kumar, IPS, DGP Govt. of Uttarakhand; Mr Kundan Kumar, IAS, Resident Commissioner, Government of Bihar; and Dr Vikram Singh, Former DG (Police), UP.

There were four engaging Panel Discussions including topics such as “Industry 4.0 - New Skills for a New World,” followed by “Digital Blueprint for Smart Learning,” “Universal Access to Education: Leaving No One Behind,” and “The Power of Artificial Intelligence: Transforming Education.”

Dr Kujur accepted the award from Professor Sudhir Kumar Sopory, Former Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and thanked all the stakeholders of XISS who have worked hard and contributed to the Institute’s progress. He thanked all for their encouragement and unwavering belief which was a motivating factor for the achievements to his name today.

This summit drew more than 60 distinguished personalities, discussing the new age education in alignment with current industry practices.
