Financial Management Programme organized insightful sessions during Induction-cum-Orientation Programme

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, conducted an eight-day Induction-cum-Orientation Programme from June 18 to 27, 2025, to welcome the new Batch of 2025–27. The inaugural ceremony was graced by honourable Chief Guest Prof D.K. Singh, Vice Chancellor, JUT in the presence of Chairman, XISS-GB, Fr Ajit Kumar Xess SJ, Director, XISS, Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, amongst other guests. The programme offered a comprehensive overview of academic life at XISS, introducing students to the institution’s core values while familiarising them with academic, administrative, and personal development frameworks.
For the Financial Management students, the induction journey was thoughtfully designed with insightful sessions conducted by faculty members, Dr Ratnesh Chaturvedi, Dr Arup Mukherjee, and Dr Arana Kausar. They provided a clear roadmap of the curriculum and emphasized the importance of continuous learning, industry awareness, and professional adaptability. The sessions also familiarized students with key analytical tools and concepts that form the backbone of financial decision-making. Guest faculty Mr A.D. Wadhwa emphasized discipline, awareness, and the power of habit in shaping professional success.

The programme featured engaging interactions with accomplished alumni. Mr Arvind Das (Founder, LifeKraft Training Academy) shared insights on personal branding and networking, while Mr Saumya Mukherjee (Deloitte), and Mr Dhirendra Panda (AB InBev) inspired students with lessons on adaptability and cross-functional growth. Mr Gyanendra Neeraj, Deputy General Manager at SEBI, demystified markets, investments, and regulatory frameworks, offering real-world relevance to classroom concepts.
The induction laid a strong foundation for the students, setting the tone for a transformative academic and professional journey rooted in purpose and preparedness.
