18th June: The invocation of the enrolled students for their managerial aspects recognition took place at XISS Ranchi under the August presence of Mr Pandey, the VC of BAU, Ranchi. The new students  present in the college were also enlightened by the top management of XISS. The process of orientation goes on for one full week, simply to enlighten students, thoroughly,  with the periphera of management education, tradition and culture of XISS. This invocation also consists of interaction of students with the faculty members as well as few luminaries from various esteemed organizations. The arrival of the new batch has blissfully happened with the welcome monsoon arriving in the State.

In the two day Workshop cum MDP for faculty members of XISS held on 12th and 13th June 2014, Fr. Ozzie infuses fresh thought among faculty, to strive for excellence and seek new frontiers for the brand-XISS. He insisted on the achievement of Magis as a motto of every XISSian life. He stressed on developing “Brand XISS” on indigenous lines and not aping the western models of business education. Fr. Ozzie, having spent around 30 years in teaching and research in marketing academics in US and lately as Charles Kellstadt Chair of Marketing University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan, was able to bring together all his experiences and ideas amongst the faculty members very lucidly.
