Dr. Anant Kumar is Assistant Professor in Department of Rural Development at Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Before joining XISS, Dr Kumar worked as Program Officer with Institute of International Education’s (IIE) Population Leadership Program in India. Trained in Psychology and Social Medicine & Community Health at the University of Allahabad, and Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Dr. Kumar began his career as a psychologist and public health professional. He is associated with various organizations and professional groups and has been published in several national and international journals. Dr Kumar is Managing Editor of Journal of Health and Development. Dr Kumar is South Asia Representative for Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research Task Group on Global Health Research Partnerships. His areas of work and research interests are public health, women’s health, mental health, population and reproductive health, international health, public health policy and leadership.

Ragini Sinha (Training Coordinator) She is currently working as Training Coordinator/Team leader under State Training at Resource centre, Jharkhand supported by National AIDS control Organization, New Delhi. She has Masters in Extension Education and Communication Management and 6 years of working experience in area of Family Planning, Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS. Worked as Project Coordinator in Health Sector in Krishi Gram Vikas Kendra (KGVK) a social wing of a Corporate “Usha Martin Ltd”Jharkhand , worked in an International Organization Institute For Reproductive Health, Georgetown University as a State Program Officer for Jharkhand Unit, worked in Citizens Foundation as State Program Manager – Health for Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa .The Core expertise lies with Program Management, Capacity Building, Information Management, training tool development, monitoring and supportive supervision. Conducted various trainings in Jharkhand at State, District and Block level since 2004 onwards of different cadre of Service Providers, NGOs staff, youth group etc

Dr. Mahadeo Sahu, Ph.D. (Training Officer)He has been working in Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi since 1978 at various capacities. He has the teaching experience of 14 years in PG Diploma in Rural Development at XISS, Ranchi. He has got rich experience in watershed management, PRIs, SHGs, Wasteland Development, HIV/AIDS and Financial Management. He has not only participated in National Training Programme but also has experience of attending International Training Programme. He is associated with STRC, XISS Jharkhand since 2010 as training officer. He has compiled reading materials on HIV/AIDS that can be used as training materials in HIV/AIDS training. Apart from this he has published 3 booklet on (1) VI Schedule - in context of Jharkhand, (2) Govt. Programme for Rural Development and (3) Directory of funding agencies – National and International.

Prakash Kumar (Training Officer) He is currently working as Training officer under State Training at resource centre, Jharkhand supported by National AIDS control Organization, New Delhi Earlier he was associated as Programme officer under Leadership Development and Organizational Effectiveness programme in collaboration with ICOMP, Malaysia and supported by the David and Lucile Packard foundation with Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi at its Development Resource Centre. He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from XISS in 2007. He began his career being associated with BASIX India Ltd working in the field of livelihood. He is also associated with Global Fund Round-7 Counseling Component as a Master Trainer for HIV/AIDS counseling.
With his past year’s experience, he has gained experience to address issues like Health, esp. HIV/AIDS and Livelihood. Strong Facilitations skills, documentation and Project Management are his key strength.

Deepshikha Parashar (Documentation Officer) She is currently working as Documentation officer under State Training at resource centre, Jharkhand supported by National AIDS control Organization, New Delhi. She has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from XISS in 2010.

Vikas Kumar Gupta is working as Training Officer under State Training and Resource Centre supported by Emmanuel Hospital Association, New Delhi. This is a new collaboration of STRC on the theme of Harm Reduction for IDUs under Global Fund Round 9. He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from XISS in the year 2008. He has worked on health issues and community development programs with CARE India, VHAJ and NBJK over past 3 years.

Sushil Kumar Surin is working as Accountant cum Admin Officer under State Training and Resource Centre supported by Emmanuel Hospital Association, New Delhi. He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Information Management from XISS and has also done M.Com. He has around 10 years of experience in social sector and was associated with the CHILDLINE project of XISS prior to joining STRC.
